Andrew Rogers: Where We Are is a retrospective exhibition that explores the prolific practice of artist Andrew Rogers, showcasing his work in painting, figurative sculpture, abstract forms, and land art.
Studio Peter King collaborated with the Jewish Museum of Australia, artist Andrew Rogers, and curator Esther Gyorki to develop the exhibition design for this show, located in the first-floor gallery. The exhibition integrates sculpture, photography, and video, presenting distinct bodies of work with varied plinth designs and large-scale graphics to complement and contrast the diverse three-dimensional forms and two-dimensional documentation of Rogers’ work.
During the design development process, a 3D model of the galleries was created with scaled images of Rogers’ artworks to facilitate collaborative review by the artist and curator. Substraight fabricated new steel-framed plinths to present the works in the round.
