EXHIBITION

2016

VENUE

National Gallery of Victoria

YEAR

In 2016, the NGV presented a major solo exhibition of one of the most influential living artists, David Hockney.

The exhibition, curated by NGV in collaboration with David Hockney and his studio, featured over 1200 works from the past decade of the artist’s career, including paintings, digital drawings, photography and video works.

Whilst employed at NGV, Peter led the exhibition design for this project, working closely with the artist and his studio to conceive the exhibition layout and spatial divisions within NGV’s galleries that would best present the works on display. One highlight of the design included the creation of a 60-metre long gallery lined with more than 80 painted acrylic portrait paintings of the artist’s family and friends.
